Privacy policy
Last updated October 20, 2026
Past Closing provides an inquiry assistant for event venues. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and how long we keep it. Questions go to [email protected].
What we receive
- From venues: business contact details, and the information a venue approves for its assistant to use, such as packages, starting prices, capacity, event types, tour hours and booked dates.
- From guests who contact a venue: the contents of the inquiry the venue's form or inbox forwards to us, typically name, email address, phone number if given, event date, guest count, event type and message.
How we use it
- To send the first reply to each inquiry on the venue's behalf, copied to the venue.
- To produce the venue's inquiry report (counts, reply times and tour requests).
- To improve the replies for that venue.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use a guest's details to market anything to them.
Who processes it
We use established providers to run the service: email delivery and hosting, our automation server, and an AI model provider that drafts replies. They process data only to provide these services to us.
How long we keep it
- Free week: inquiry data is deleted on day 7 unless the venue continues.
- Paying venues: inquiry data is kept while the venue is a customer and deleted within 30 days of cancellation, or sooner on request.
Your choices
Venues can stop the service at any time by removing our address from their form. Anyone can ask us what information we hold about them, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected].
Business email
We sometimes email venues directly about our service. Every such email includes a way to opt out, and we honor opt-outs promptly.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
